Impression
A very impressive hotel in Scheveningen, one of Holland’s popular seaside towns. This is one of the most famous hotels in the Netherlands and it has a very long history. The view is excellent and there’s a fabulous conference room that looks like something out of a fairy tale. From first to last, there’s nothing that can be said against this hotel.

reception
Our reception was as fantastic as the hotel itself. The staff are well-aware of the fact that they have a reputation to live up to. They know what they’re talking about and they know what good service is. This reception meets all the requirements that you expect when you book a five-star hotel.

public areas
Like the rest of the hotel, the public areas are in top condition and the service here is excellent. There are several areas in the hotel where you can sit and relax in peace. There’s also a magnificent terrace at the back of the hotel, from where you have a great view of the beach and the promenade.

rooms
These rooms are also exactly what you would expect in a five-star hotel. They are well-kept and partly preserved in the old style – by which we mean that in some rooms you can still find the original beams in the ceilings. There’s a great diversity of rooms, so all tastes are catered for, and you’ll lack absolutely nothing.

halls
The Kurhaus is known both in the Netherlands and abroad for its magnificent conference room. The Kurzaal is an old, stately room with wonderful paintings on the walls and ceilings. The beautiful, enormous chandelier is a fairy-tale dream come true and makes your skin crawl. This room is perfect for parties and the excellent acoustics will make the music sound even more beautiful than it already is. This room can also be used for large conferences, but the hotel also has a somewhat smaller room that would be equally suitable for this purpose.

situation
The location is superb. Not only is the hotel conveniently situated with regard to Den Haag, it’s also the center of Scheveningen itself. It’s easily accessible by all means of transport and the casino is only a five-minute walk away. You could almost say that everything in Scheveningen has been built around this hotel.
