Impression
Our first impression was, that this was a cheap and distant hotel. Once arrived we saw the hotel is situated next to Royal palace ‘t Loo. This palace is being used as a museum now and is only used by the royal family when there is a special occasion. In this palace however, royal family members still live in. The hotel situated next to it answered to our expectations. The hotel looks like a Van der Valk hotel, from the inside as well as the outside.

reception
The reception was superb. This is something that can be expected, because this five star hotel is being used for meetings of members of the royal family who still live on the grounds. Everywhere you look you will see things that are related to the royal family, like pictures, paintings and family signs. It is very noticeable you are close to royal spheres. Except for the staff, which looks a bit cheap, don’t apply to these standards.

public areas
The public areas are cosy decorated. Only the cheapness of the hotel can be found everywhere. The furniture in the lobby should be replaced and the meeting halls are fine, but not spectacular. Apparently the management knew they should tidy up the place and so they did with the restaurant. The restaurant is the only hall that lives up to the standards of a five star hotel.

rooms
The rooms look very dark with brown ceilings. Here too the furniture should be replaced and soon too, according to us. In the rooms too you get the Van der Valk feeling and this is expressed too nice. Off course the rooms acquire everything a five star hotel room needs, but you have the feeling of being in a three star hotel.

halls
Unfortunately we cannot tell anything about the halls, because we were not allowed to see them. We want to make clear that for the real royal spheres you can, as a company, make use of the museum next door.

situation
The situation next to the palace grounds is great, especially when you love nature. However for a businessman or woman this place is a bit distant in Apeldoorn itself as in The Netherlands. But to just enjoy the nature for the weekend, this place is superb.
